Backup Policy
Applies to: host.yt, the customer panel, billing portal, support channels, and services provided by Marko Omelyash VARSOFIA.
Plain-language summary
This summary is for convenience only. The full provisions below form the legally relevant text.
1. Customer responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining independent, current, restorable backups of all important data. Backups provided by Hostyt are a convenience, not a guarantee.
2. Backup availability
Backup features vary by plan, product, location, storage backend, and account status. Some plans may include periodic backups, snapshots, restore points, or manual backup tools. Some services may not include backups.
3. Backup scope
Backups may include website files, databases, or selected configuration data. Backups may exclude caches, temporary files, logs, third-party backup archives, large files, mailboxes, node modules, vendor folders, snapshots, external storage, or data outside the supported path.
4. Retention
Retention periods vary by plan and operational conditions. Older backups may be overwritten automatically. Backups may be unavailable after service expiry, suspension, migration, quota breach, disk corruption, emergency maintenance, or termination.
5. Restore process
Restores may overwrite current data. You must review and confirm the restore target before requesting or starting a restore. We are not responsible for data loss caused by restoring the wrong date, wrong service, or incomplete backup.
6. No archive service
Hosting services are not long-term archive services. You should store critical backups outside the production hosting account and outside the Hostyt platform where appropriate.
7. Backup abuse
Using hosting accounts primarily to store backups, archives, media dumps, or unrelated files may violate the Hosting Agreement or Fair Use Policy.
Updates
We may update this document from time to time. The version published on host.yt is the current version. If a change materially affects active paid services, we may notify affected customers by email, account notice, ticket, or another reasonable channel.
