1. Purpose
This Policy explains what may happen when a domain registered or managed through Hostyt expires.
2. Customer responsibility
You are responsible for monitoring expiry dates, keeping payment methods valid, maintaining accurate account email addresses, and renewing domains before the expiry date.
3. After expiry
After expiry, a domain may stop resolving, be placed on hold, lose DNS service, stop receiving mail, display parking pages, enter an auto-renew grace period, enter redemption, become subject to auction, or be deleted.
4. Grace and redemption periods
Grace and redemption periods vary by TLD and registry. Some domains may be restored for a fee during a limited period. Some ccTLDs may have shorter periods or no redemption period at all.
5. Recovery fees
Recovery may require payment of renewal fees, redemption fees, registry fees, administrative fees, taxes, and other charges. Recovery is not guaranteed until confirmed by the registry or registrar.
6. No guarantee of recovery
We do not guarantee that an expired domain can be recovered. Once a domain is deleted or released by the registry, it may be registered by another party.
