VPS and Server Terms
Applies to: host.yt, the customer panel, billing portal, support channels, and services provided by Marko Omelyash VARSOFIA.
Plain-language summary
This summary is for convenience only. The full provisions below form the legally relevant text.
1. Scope
These VPS and Server Terms apply to virtual private servers, NAT VPS, dedicated resources, server add-ons, IP addresses, snapshots, templates, and related infrastructure services supplied by Hostyt.
2. Unmanaged service by default
Unless a plan expressly states that it is managed, VPS and server services are unmanaged. You are responsible for operating systems, packages, firewalls, SSH keys, passwords, user accounts, updates, backups, monitoring, application security, data, and incident response.
3. Root access and liability
Where root or administrator access is provided, you accept full responsibility for all changes made to the server. Misconfiguration, accidental deletion, firewall lockouts, kernel changes, exposed services, weak passwords, or compromised keys are your responsibility.
4. Network use
You must not run open proxies, open relays, public recursive resolvers, stressers, booters, scanners, botnets, malware infrastructure, spam systems, DDoS tooling, credential stuffing, scraping that violates law or third-party rights, or services designed to hide or facilitate abuse.
Bandwidth, packet rate, port availability, IPv4/IPv6, NAT configuration, fair-use limits, and data-centre rules may vary by plan and location.
5. IP addresses
IP addresses are assigned for use with active services only. They remain controlled by Hostyt or its upstream providers. We may change, withdraw, null-route, reclaim, or reassign IP addresses for technical, legal, abuse, routing, or operational reasons.
6. Abuse response
Because VPS services can generate network risk quickly, we may suspend or null-route a VPS without prior notice if it is involved in DDoS, malware, phishing, spam, scanning, attacks, excessive resource use, or urgent legal/security risk.
7. Backups and snapshots
Snapshots or backups are provided only where enabled or purchased. You must keep independent off-platform backups for important systems. Snapshots may not be available after termination, disk corruption, quota issues, or platform incidents.
8. Rebuilds and data loss
Reinstalling, rebuilding, deleting, or cancelling a VPS can permanently delete all server data. We are not responsible for data loss caused by customer actions, compromised credentials, third-party scripts, unsupported software, or failure to maintain backups.
9. Prohibited regulated workloads
You must not use unmanaged VPS services as a regulated environment requiring PCI DSS, HIPAA, banking secrecy, classified data, critical infrastructure certification, or similar regulated controls unless we have expressly agreed in writing.
Updates
We may update this document from time to time. The version published on host.yt is the current version. If a change materially affects active paid services, we may notify affected customers by email, account notice, ticket, or another reasonable channel.
