Plain-language summary
This summary is for convenience only. The full provisions below form the legally relevant text.
1. Scope
This Hosting Agreement applies to shared hosting, WordPress hosting, web hosting, email hosting, control panel hosting, and related hosting services supplied by Hostyt.
2. Hosting environment
Hosting services may run on shared infrastructure where CPU, RAM, storage, disk I/O, database, email, and network capacity are shared among multiple customers. We may migrate services between servers, clusters, data centres, IP addresses, or platforms for operational, security, performance, or maintenance reasons.
We may change server names, IP addresses, software versions, control panel components, PHP versions, database versions, mail systems, storage backends, or other technical components where needed to maintain the platform.
3. Customer responsibilities
- Keep websites, CMS installations, plugins, themes, passwords, mailboxes, databases, scripts, and APIs secure and up to date.
- Maintain independent backups of important data.
- Use the Services only for lawful websites, applications, email, and related hosting purposes.
- Monitor account usage and stay within published plan limits and fair-use limits.
- Comply with privacy, consumer, tax, marketing, intellectual property, and sector-specific rules that apply to your website or business.
4. Prohibited hosting uses
You must not use hosting services for phishing, malware, botnets, command-and-control servers, spam, open relays, public recursive DNS, anonymising gateways, crypto-mining, mass file dumping, mirror sites, illegal marketplaces, illegal streaming, high-risk financial scams, child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, harassment, identity theft, or any other activity prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Storage and resource limits
Storage is provided for active website and application content. Hosting accounts must not be used primarily as archives, backup repositories, file-sharing platforms, media dumps, or bulk storage services unless the plan expressly allows it.
We may limit, throttle, suspend, or require an upgrade if usage materially affects platform stability, degrades other customers’ services, exceeds plan limits, or creates unusual operational risk.
6. Email
Email services are intended for normal business communication. Bulk email, purchased lists, unsolicited messages, spoofing, forged headers, spam traps, high bounce rates, poor reputation practices, and violation of anti-spam laws are prohibited.
7. Backups
Backups, if included, are provided under the Backup Policy. Backups are not a substitute for your own independent backup process. We do not guarantee that every file, database, mailbox, snapshot, or configuration will be available for restoration.
8. Security and remediation
If we detect malware, spam, phishing, vulnerable software, abnormal resource consumption, credential compromise, or other security risk, we may isolate, suspend, disable, clean, remove, or restrict affected components to protect the platform.
You remain responsible for reviewing affected files, closing vulnerabilities, rotating credentials, and restoring safe operation.
9. Expiration and deletion
If hosting expires, is cancelled, or is terminated, access may stop immediately or after a grace period shown in the customer panel. Data may be deleted after expiry or termination. It is your responsibility to export data before cancellation or migration.
10. Support boundary
Hosting support may cover platform availability, account access, basic service configuration, billing, and incidents. It does not include custom software development, code repair, SEO work, legal compliance for your website, or management of third-party scripts unless expressly included in your plan.
Updates
We may update this document from time to time. The version published on host.yt is the current version. If a change materially affects active paid services, we may notify affected customers by email, account notice, ticket, or another reasonable channel.
