Hostyt respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe that content hosted on our platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a written takedown notice as described below.
1. How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice
Your notice must include all of the following elements to be valid under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are at a single site.
- The exact URL(s) or precise location of the allegedly infringing material so we can locate it.
- Your full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Your electronic or physical signature.

Incomplete notices may not be processed. We are not required to act on incomplete or defective notices.
2. Our Response
Upon receipt of a valid, complete notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt within a reasonable time
- Investigate the claimed infringement
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content if the notice is valid
- Notify the hosting user of the action taken
3. Counter-Notice
If content belonging to you was removed as a result of a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notice. A valid counter-notice must include:
- Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- Identification of the content that was removed and its location before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the applicable federal court.
- Your electronic or physical signature.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we may reinstate the removed content after 10–14 business days unless the complaining party seeks a court order.
4. Repeat Infringers
Hostyt maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights, in appropriate circumstances.
5. False Notices
Submitting a materially false DMCA notice or counter-notice may result in liability for damages, including costs and attorney’s fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
6. EU Notice
For users in the EU, copyright complaints may also be processed under our Notice & Action Policy in accordance with the EU Digital Services Act.
