Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are issued for Hostyt’s services. It supplements the Terms of Service and applies to all purchases made through my.host.yt.

1. Consumer Withdrawal Right (B2C)

If you are a consumer (a natural person not acting in a professional or business capacity), you have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract without giving any reason, under EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and Polish Consumer Rights Act.

The 14-day period begins on the day the contract is concluded. To exercise this right, notify us clearly before the period expires:

  • Email: support@host.yt — include your order ID, registered email address, and a clear statement that you are withdrawing

Exception: The right to withdraw does not apply if the service has been fully performed with your explicit prior consent and you acknowledged at the time of ordering that you would lose the withdrawal right upon full performance (e.g. a domain was registered with the registry, or the server was provisioned and used).

Approved withdrawals are refunded within 14 days using the same payment method you used for the original transaction.

2. Money-Back Guarantee

  • Shared web hosting: 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of first activation. Applies to new orders only, not renewals.
  • VPS & dedicated servers: 72-hour refund window from the date of provisioning. Applies to new orders only.
  • Business email hosting: 14-day money-back guarantee from first activation.

To claim a money-back guarantee refund, submit your request to support@host.yt within the applicable window, including your order ID and the email address on your account.

3. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable once processed:

  • Domain registrations, renewals, and transfers — once submitted to the registry, these cannot be reversed
  • SSL certificates — once issued by the certificate authority
  • Setup fees and one-time configuration charges
  • Services consumed in full (e.g. bandwidth overages, add-on credits fully used)
  • Renewals of any service (refunds apply only to initial orders within the specified window)

4. Refund Process

  • Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 business days.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method. We cannot redirect refunds to a different account or payment instrument.
  • If payment was made by bank transfer, you will need to provide your bank details.

5. Service Credits

In cases of service outages or degraded performance covered by our SLA, Hostyt may issue account credits rather than cash refunds. Credits are applied to future invoices and have no cash value.

6. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting our support team may result in immediate account suspension. We encourage you to contact us first — we are happy to resolve billing issues directly and promptly.
